What is Teeth-in-a-Day™ (All-On-4®)?
Teeth-in-a-Day™ is an innovative solution that fixes dentures to dental implants to provide a permanent, natural appearing smile.
How does Teeth-in-a-Day™ (All-On-4®) work?
The first step is to come into the office for a consultation and comprehensive exam, including 3D CT imaging. A consultation gives us the opportunity to thoroughly discuss the surgery in detail, so you know exactly what the process entails. Working alongside your dentist, we develop a customized treatment plan for you.
The second visit is when the surgery and delivery of the final prosthesis occurs. Surgery will include extraction of any remaining teeth, bone reduction, and the placement of dental implants. After the oral surgeon has placed the implants, your dentist will take over and fix a customized denture to the implants. At the end of the surgery, you leave with new teeth and a beautiful smile!
Who is an ideal candidate for Teeth-in-a-Day™ (All-On-4®)?
An ideal patient is a man or a woman with existing removable dentures who are unhappy with the fit and appearance of their dentures. Additionally, patients with failing teeth who would like a new, beautiful smile with fixed dentures also make great candidates.
I’ve been told I have too much bone loss for dental implants, am I still a candidate for Teeth-in-a-Day™ (All-On-4)?
Yes, you are still a candidate. Teeth-in-a-Day™ places implants into the frontal portion of bone, and it often does not require any sinus lifts or bone grafting. If you’ve experienced severe bone loss, our surgeons also place zygomatic implants, which eliminates the issue of bone loss.
How long is the surgery?
The surgery lasts about two hours for each jaw (upper and lower) including IV sedation. After surgery, the dentist fixes the denture to the implants, which can last an additional one to two hours. The majority of patients leave same-day with brand new teeth.
Can I go to sleep for the surgery?
Yes, the majority of our patients undergo IV sedation to make the surgery a more pleasant experience.
The majority of patients report only mild discomfort after the surgery. Every patient is prescribed pain medications for pain management.
How much does Teeth-in-a-Day™ (All-On-4) cost?
Since every mouth is different and unique, the costs may vary depending on factors like the number of implants planned or the number of extractions. When you come in for a consultation a customized treatment plan, including costs, will be developed for you. We also offer dental financing options.
